When we made our return to racing in 2006, we decided that our off-track activities were just as important as our performance on the track. We've visited elementary schools and participated in automotive-related events over the past two seasons.
We are now pleased to announce our sponsorship of the Millridge Legends, an adult softball team, with players from the faculty, staff and their spouses from Millridge Elementary School in Highland Heights, OH. We will furnish the T-Shirts for the team this season.
The team's name is no coincidence, either, as the "Legends" were named after our '37 Ford Legends car.
Just a few last-minute details remain, and we will be ready for the Test and Tune at Barberton Speedway on Saturday April 5. Hope to see you there!
With help from Legends racer Dave Spotton, we're almost ready for the '08 season. We've improved several aspects of the car, including a Hot Lap in-car timing system, gear indicator and a Firecharger fire suppression system. Just a few items remain, and we will be ready for practice at Barberton Speedway on April 5. Many thanks to Dave, whose help is very much appreciated.
We plan to run the entire Northern Ohio Legends series, which includes races at Barberton, Lorain and Midvale. Painesville Speedway is not on the schedule this season. Thanks to all who followed the link below and voiced your opinion. If you haven't, please follow the link in the article below and let Painesville Speedway management know that you want to see Legends cars this season.
See you in '08!
Once again, it appears there is a good chance that Legends Cars will not be on Painesville Speedway's 2008 schedule. Let 'em know you want to see Legends Cars at Painesville in 2008! Follow this link for contact information.
Saturday night saw another week of great racing and a cool off-track gesture at Lorain County Speedway. New blog is posted in "Shop Talk" - click on the "Shop Talk" button above or go here.
