1999 was a season to remember.  With help from Mike Henderson, Ed Poderzay and Kevin Jackson, along with sponsorship from Golden Star Cafe, Schmidt Refrigeration Service, Fred Mott Racing and Johnny Ray's Radiator, the team won 10 races and led the point standings for most of the season.  A transmission failure during the last race of the season dropped the team to second place in the 1999 standings, out of a record 109 cars on the point roster.

The car was rebuilt from top to bottom in the off season.  Lee Patrick hung a new Monte Carlo SS body on the car, and Ed Poderzay built a new engine for the 1998 season.  We led many laps throughout the season but did not score a win in 1998.  The season ended on a high note with a second-place finish in the Big Dogs Feature.
